Lillooet is located a four-hour drive north and east of Vancouver on the Fraser River. We can be reached via two major routes from Vancouver – both offering a unique glimpse into the history, geography and ecology of this area of Canada.
From Vancouver, follow Highway 99 north through Whistler - home of the 2010 Winter Olympics - and Pemberton. From Pemberton, you'll travel first through the Pemberton Valley and then climb into the Coastal Mountains. The road winds through pine forests with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers and past Joffre Lakes and Duffey Lake Provincial Parks before descending to meet the Fraser River at Lillooet. Storms and avalanches may temporarily close this road in the winter.

From Vancouver, follow Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada Highway) through the wide, fertile Fraser Valley. At Hope, Highway 1 turns north and enters the spectacular Fraser River Canyon. At Lytton, turn onto Highway 12 to reach Lillooet.
